On 26th of February 2020, the Harford Courant reports in an article entitled Fresh Talk: The Earth needs a green sabbath some interesting facts related to the so-called “Global Warming”, and a day of rest, or a Sabbath.

Because nothing happens without Bible prophecy, we will see how this agenda of the Green Sabbath might play a major role in the final events of this Earth’s history.

Hartford Courant: The Earth Needs a Green Sabbath
On the 26th of February 2020, an article was published in Hartford Courant, that tackles the issue of “Global Warming”, and the solution for it – a Green Sabbath.
It makes statements like:
The oceans are becoming more acidic due to Carbon Oxide absorption leading to impacts on marine ecosystems
Then it mentions the solution that “scientists have found” – a technological Sabbath, or a day of rest per week in which we do nothing.
It mentions the shutdown in Israel for Yom Kippur, a Jewish holiday, and the plummeting of nitrogen oxide pollution.
So, scientists have decided that one day of rest would reduce emissions so much that there is no need for other spending on new technologies, etc.
They mention a Green Secular Sabbath (interesting term) is what will save us.
Some statements that NASA made are cited:
In our atmosphere there are nearly 412 ppm of carbon dioxide. 25% of that is absorbed by the ocean, thus making them more acidic. The global temperature has increased 1 degree Celsius since 1880.
Then they say it is necessary to decrease our carbon emissions significantly to “save the planet and ourselves”.
Interesting fact:
Did you know that more CO2 is good for Earth? That’s right!
Scientists have discovered that plants exposed to different ppm of CO2 had massive differences in growth!
In fact, scientists like the Award-winning Princeton University Physicist Dr. Will Happer declare:
“Many people don’t realize that over geological time, we’re really in a CO2 famine now. Almost never has CO2 levels been as low as it has been in the Holocene (geologic epoch) – 280 (parts per million – ppm) – that’s unheard of.
Most of the time [CO2 levels] have been at least 1000 (ppm) and it’s been quite higher than that,” Happer told the Senate Committee.
A Weekly Day of Rest Would Save Us All?
Moving on with the article from Hartford Courant we find the statement:
A weekly earth day could be what saves us all. A day of rest is good for the environment. It is also good for people.
Stopping everything for one day – cars, planes, factories would “help to lower global temperatures”.
Is there anything wrong with stopping everything for one day? Absolutely not!
In fact, God already established a day of rest since the Creation! Is called the Sabbath!
The Sabbath is on the seventh day of the week according to the Bible, known today as Saturday. (Luke 23:53-56).
God created the Sabbath after the six literal creation days when only Adam and Eve were alive on Earth.
And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.
And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.
Genesis 2:2-3 KJV
He commanded humanity to keep holy the Sabbath day, and do no work in it!
Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:
But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:
For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

Contrary to popular belief, He made the Sabbath for mankind, not only for the Jewish people!
And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath:

Green Sabbath Movement and Climate Sunday
The Movement of Green Sabbath has also spread into other similar ones like Climate Sunday!
In essence, they are all having the same goal – one day of rest per week for all humanity…to “save the Earth”.
While some of these movements declare that “a weekly green Sabbath need have nothing to do with God, theocrats, clergy, or rabbinic rules”, others have the support of the Clergy and other leaders.
In other words, they say they do not have any religious agenda for this movement, but it is mainly for ecological reasons!
They say they do not want people to be influenced by religion in this matter, and simply join and support it as a solution for environmental problems!
Climate Sunday
However, other movements like Climate Sunday are bolder in their goal and agenda and tell us straight away – not just any day of rest per week but Sunday!
This movement had many meetings with religious and political leaders in COP events that you may have heard of. One such event called COP26 was held in Glasgow a few years ago.
Over 2,200 churches and church groups throughout Britain and Ireland participated in the Climate Sunday Initiative, addressing climate change by holding Climate Sunday services. –

On their website, they have a section where it says “Use your voice to tell politicians that you want a cleaner, greener, fairer future at the heart of plans to rebuild a strong economy.”
Do you see that it starts to get interesting?
Church & State Union!
We all know what happened in the past when Church & State united!
The results were disastrous! It was called the Dark Ages for a reason!
Millions of people were victims of a cruel system that forced their conscience into religious matters! Research the Inquisition to find out more!
What I am trying to say is: could it be a possibility that history will repeat itself? According to Ecclesiastes 1:9, it will!

The Pope is both the leader of the Catholic Church and of the State of the Vatican, the smallest independent state in our world!
Does the Pope have anything to do with the Climate Movement?
According to his 2015 encyclical Laudato Si, it does!

The Pope states in section 25 of his encyclical about the climate change issue:
“25. Climate change is a global problem with grave implications: environmental, social, economic, political and for the distribution of goods. It represents one of the principal challenges facing humanity in our day. Its worst impact will probably be felt by developing countries in coming decades.”
26. “There is an urgent need to develop policies so that, in the next few years, the emission of carbon dioxide and other highly polluting gases can be drastically reduced, for example, substituting for fossil fuels and developing sources of renewable energy.
Worldwide there is minimal access to clean and renewable energy. There is still a need to develop adequate storage technologies.”

What’s the Pope’s solution to “Climate Change?”
“Thus, the Eucharist is also a source of light and motivation for our concerns for the environment, directing us to be stewards of all creation.
On Sunday, our participation in the Eucharist has special importance. Sunday, like the Jewish Sabbath, is meant to be a day which heals our relationships with God, with ourselves, with others and with the world.”

By the way, there is no such term “Jewish Sabbath” in the Bible! The Sabbath was made for everyone, not only for one nation!
Do you see where this is heading? Roman Catholic Religious Agenda!
It seems that everyone including the Pope is pointing to Sunday rest as a solution to the so-called “Climate Crisis”.
But hasn’t the Sabbath been changed to Sunday?
And isn’t the majority of the Christian churches worshiping on Sunday?
Indeed, millions of sincere Christians worship on Sunday, however, we cannot find a single verse in the Bible supporting this teaching!
This is simply the doctrine and tradition of man, of the Catholic Church to be more exact!

In fact, the Catholic Church has boldly come forward and declared that Sunday is their mark of authority! They claim the Church is above the Bible!
“Sunday is our mark of authority …. The church is above the Bible, and this transference of sabbath observance is proof of that fact”
(The Catholic Record of London, Ontario, Sept. 1, 1923)
“This is what the papal power claims to have done respecting the fourth commandment. Catholics plainly acknowledge that there is no scriptural authority for the change they have made, but that it rests wholly upon the authority of the church; and they claim it as a token, or mark, of the authority of that church; the “very act of changing the Sabbath into Sunday” being set forth as proof of its power in this respect.”

Conclusion
To conclude, the issue of “Climate Change”, and a day of rest is more to it than it seems.
While on the surface it seems like a good idea for the environment, to take one day off per week for rest, what will happen if a specific day like Sunday will be enforced by law?
What if those who want to follow the Bible and God’s commandments will be persecuted for not going along with everyone…to “heal the Earth”?
What if Church and State unite to set a universal day of rest for everyone no matter their faith?
And everyone will need to obey no matter their personal religion and conscience?
What if you do not want to go along with this movement and want to be loyal to God and worship Him on the seventh day of the week and not on the first day – a man-made day of rest?
Can you see the problem here?
In fact, the prophecy from Revelation 13 warns us that two beasts (political powers in Bible symbology) will unite and
“causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:
And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.”

And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.
Revelation 13:15 KJV
The right hand is a symbol of actions in the Bible, and the forehead is a symbol of the mind! (Ecclesiastes 9:10), (Hebrews 10:16).
God warned us that Satan “deceives the whole world”. (Revelation 12:9)
He told us to be sober and vigilant, because the devil, like a roaring lion seeks whom he may devour! (1 Peter 5:8).
Jesus also warned us to take heed so no one should deceive us! (Matthew 24:4).
The target of the enemy in the last days is those who keep the commandments of God, including the Sabbath, the fourth commandment!
And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

The deceiver knows that all he has to do is to make us break one commandment of God, and we’ll be lost for eternity!
For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.
James 2:10 KJV
So, could it be that the last card of Satan is the exaltation of a false day of worship and thus gather the multitudes into the wrath of God and finally into their eternal destruction? (Revelation 14:9-11).
Remember, he is a cunning fallen angel, and he will always appear as an angel of light! (2 Corinthians 11:14 KJV).
God loves you and me, and He does not want us to be deceived, but be saved for eternity! That’s why He gave His Son to die on the cross for our sins!
In conclusion, if you want to be sure you are following the truth, always go to the Bible and Bible only! (Isaiah 8:20)
Even if a single person stands for the truth, it does not change it, it will always be the truth!
Be among the victors, the conquerors of the self, of Satan, and of this world of deception by the power and mercy of God, our Creator! (Revelation 14:1-5), (Revelation 12:11), (Revelation 20:4).
